On the 2nd April 2009, at 11:00 PM, at Athenee Palace Hilton Hotel, Bucharest, DK EVENTS hosted the press conference dedicated to Electric Lighting International Exhibition (ELIE). The Conference was held on the following topic: "European Union Directive of 08th December 2008 - energy efficient light sources vs traditional light sources". This conference's main purpose was to bring to public attention complete information on new energy sources that will replace traditional light bulbs by progressive withdrawal from the market beginning September 2009. 

Participants at the press conference: Conf. Dr. Ing. Dorin Beu, The Tehnical University of Cluj Napoca, M.S. Eng. Costin Cunesteanu, Marketing Manager Lighting, Philips Romania SRL, Raul Pop, General Manager Recolamp, Dr. Eng. Mihai Husch, Romanian National Committee on Illumination (CNRI), Director of the Professional Qualification Division in the Lighting Industry, Eng. Calota Ion, President of the Romanian Association of Electricians (AREL) and Eng. Catalin Neamtu, General Manager DK EXPO. They have examined in a public debate the European directive, they have made a comparative analysis between the efficient lamps and the traditional ones and they have presented the topics of national importance that refers to a safe collecting and recycling of used lighting bulbs. During this conference Romanian Association of Electricians has launched a new concept: "family electrician" and the book "An Electrician's Manual".
